Boston Mackerel (Also referred to as Atlantic Mackerel) is wild harvested and landed in Gloucester during the summer months. Boston Mackerel are found on both sides of the North Atlantic Ocean, including in the Baltic Sea. In the western Atlantic, they’re found from Labrador to North Carolina.

Mackerel is a beautiful oily fish, both for its iridescent, striking skin and its rich, fishy flavor. Respected by chefs and home cooks alike, mackerel has a distinctive flavor, it looks stunning on the plate and is a great source of brain-boosting omega-3 fatty acids. Boston Mackerel is wonderful cooked as a whole fish, filleted and roasted, filleted & cured to make sushi, or smoked as a whole fish or fillets.
